Brian Steed Tatum, the founding partner of Tatum Law Firm, PLLC, worked for the Atlanta, Georgia, and Raleigh, North Carolina, offices of Morris, Schneider & Prior, LLC from 1998 through 2006 primarily in the area of commercial litigation. In 2006, after managing Morris, Schneider & Prior’s Raleigh, North Carolina, branch office and after obtaining a M.B.A. in General Management and Finance from Duke University, Mr. Tatum moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, to start the Tatum Law Firm, PLLC. After observing that when law firms get big, customer service becomes a second priority, Mr. Tatum started the Tatum Law Firm to serve the needs of clients who still desire and deserve excellent customer service.

Non-Legal Activities
Rose through the ranks from Private E-1 to Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve & Georgia Army National Guard from 1988–2006. Served with the Georgia Army National Guard’s Long Range Surveillance Unit (LRSU) when it was first created as a 31C Radio Operator. Awarded the Parachutist Badge, Army Physical Fitness Excellence Badge twice, and Army Achievement Medal. Graduated with honors, Commandant’s List, from the Military Police Officer’s Basic Course (top 5% of class and top 20% ranking on all leadership traits on the AER). Brian lives in Charlotte with his wife, Macarena, two daughters, cat and three dogs (all rescued Pit Bull mixes).
Brian enjoys spending time with his family, running (currently training for the Thunder Road Marathon), watching college sports and traveling (especially to visit his wife’s family and friends in Argentina).
